It’s an honor to have been selected Camp Director at the Suncliff Music Foundation Summer
camp this year. The position will find me implementing 40 years + experience in the field of
music as a professional touring and recording musician (international/national/regional
and local), coupled with my past 10 years’ experience producing extended learning
time/enrichment programming in afterschool programs throughout the Western New York
region. It is a dream come true to bring together the two disciplines that reflect my BM in
music performance, and my M.Ed degree in Early Childhood education.
I look forward to serving students as program Director at SunCliff with community building
activities such as light yoga/meditation to start the day with, and revisiting them
throughout the day/evening with enrichment programming that will include meaningful
activities that support learning, such as reflecting on their experiences in nature while
learning about music with art and literacy activities, basic soundscape building activities,
interactive performance of contemporary compositions, electronic music exploration,
improvisation, strengthening fundamentals in music and rhythmic reading ability exercises,
for starters…
Suncliff on the lake is a fabulous location to refresh one’s senses and engage in learning
activities that enhance one’s being. I’m honored to be a small part of an amazing and
diverse team/family of artists/musicians ready to serve our young people of Western New
York with quality and innovative music education programming.
