Stacey Lechevet

With a career as a Visual Art instructor spanning over 32 years at Pioneer High School, as well as
experience teaching adult art classes at Springville Center for the Arts, Stacey Lechevet has the
experience and expertise to provide high school artists with the skills they need to strengthen their
art competency and portfolio development. Ms. Lechevet has decades of experience as an
instructor in the areas of drawing (including college level drawing for both GCC and JCC), painting,
printmaking, sculpture, portfolio, illustration, art history, and studio in art. Ms. Lechevet developed
and instructed an adaptive art course for students with special needs and has experience designing
and implementing learning experiences for adults with emotional and mental health disorders. She
has received numerous grants to create public art projects with her students and was awarded a
public art initiative grant to create a community mural project at the West Falls Center for the Arts.
She also has a mural on display at Oshei Childrens Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Ms. Lechevet studied
mosaic art under the direction of Isaiah Zagar at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens after being awarded
an educator’s scholarship. She has exhibited her paintings and mixed media assemblages at
several galleries in Western New York. Ms. Lechevet is retiring from teaching in public school this
year to focus on her personal art and instruct private art lessons at her studio The Beholding Eye Art
Studio, located in West Falls, NY.
